The quality of the stories submitted for the Cormorant Short Story Competition has had our judges and the panel chairman working overtime. I have pressured them for an answer and of course a winner. They have forwarded me The final TOP TEN Stories which are  NOT IN ANY PARTICULAR ORDER.

"Cardboard City Threads" by Gerald O'Neill is now on sale. The ISBN number for this book about Southbank and the Eston Hills is 978-0-9558593-3-5. The book is available at Pocket Papers as Gerald will be handling his own distribution and publicity.

"The Forgotten Chariot" by Jennie Shurmer charts the impressive life of Dick Ripley, whose 4 x 400m run in the 1924 Paris Olympics was made famous by the film 'Chariots of Fire'. And last but by no means least here's one to add to your Christmas list. 'Living with Fred' by Sharon Birch has already attracted advanced sales. Sharon will be attending a conference later this year and her book has attracted interest from around the world. Sharon has asked David Beckham to write the foreword, the reasons will become obvious in the book so I won't spoil it for you.
